Safety
Safety is our First Priority at all times!
Safety begins with our Buildings!
Our facilities are specifically designed for kids. We have open spaces and large windows, door alarms, special electric outlets, and other safety features built right in.
We have video cameras through-out each facility, and the video feed is recorded.
We have age appropriate toys and furnishings.
All adults and children must check in at the front desk before entering the facility.
We ensure safety with our Staff Selection and Training!
All of our employees are fingerprinted before they begin work and undergo local background checks, State of Florida background checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as well as national background checks through the FBI.
Before starting work, and periodically during their employment, employees complete an Attestation of Good Moral Character certifying that they are eligible to work with children in the state of Florida.
Employment verifications are conducted on all new-hires.
We are a drug free workplace.
All of our preschool employees are required to take the 40 Hour Child Care Course which includes classes on safety, health, nutrition, state and local rules and regulations, and child development.
Employees with First Aid and CPR certifications are always on-site.
Each employee takes over 40 hours of in-service training each year on topics ranging from fire prevention, behavior management, lesson planning, and more.
And, our Policies keep us safe!
We have daily, weekly and monthly safety checks by on-site supervisors as well as regular inspections from the Fire Inspector, Health Inspector, Department of Children and Families, the Early Learning Coalition, Episcopal Children’s Services, and our Accrediting Agencies.
We perform fire drills at least monthly so kids and staff are familiar with evacuation procedures.
Parents are welcome to visit our facilities at any time to observe their children, either by watching the videos, looking through a window, or joining their kids in the classroom.
First-aid kits are located at each reception desk and throughout the buildings.
In the Edutainment Centers, all children and adults must have a visible wristband.
Staff wears uniforms so kids, parents and guests know who to go to for help.
